To my knowledge, my subscription to Office 365 renewed itself in January because I signed up for the yearly renewal thing. And that's what it does, it renews every year. Then 3 months later I get emails five to ten times a day saying it expired and I need to pay again to renew it, even though there is no option to renew it every 3 month. Office 365 comes fully loaded with the latest and greatest versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook and more, downloaded directly to your favorite devices. You can keep working even if you are not online. All the tools you know and love, now built for even greater productivity and collaboration. Microsoft Office for Mac has had a problem of looking too dated when it comes to the Mac version, while its preferred Windows partner has that squeaky-clean, new feeling. Some people have stated that this latest version is now on par, or perhaps similar, to the Office 365 for Windows, with new flat design icons that were introduced in OS X.
When you buy a subscription to Microsoft 365 for business, you sign upfor a set of apps and services that you pay for on either a monthly oran annual basis. The applications and services that you receive as partof your subscription depend on which product you purchased, such asMicrosoft 365 Apps for business or Microsoft 365 Business Standard. When you buy a subscription, you specify the number of licenses that youneed, based on how many people you have in your organization. After youbuy a subscription, you create accounts for people in your organization,and then assign a license to each person. As your organizational needschange, you can buy more licenses to accommodate new people, or reassignlicenses to other users when someone leaves your organization.
If you have more than one subscription, you can assign licenses todifferent people for each subscription. For example, you can assign all of your users to all Microsoft 365 applications and services as partof a Microsoft 365 Business Standard subscription. You can also assign a subset of users to Visio Online through a separate Visio subscription.

What happens when you assign a license to someone?
The following table lists what automatically happens when you assign a license to someone:

Understand licenses for non-user mailboxes
